Today, we have a 2024 Subaru Forester, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how easy it is to install this CURT Four-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness. So if you've got a trailer hitch on your Subaru Forester and you're wanting to start pulling trailers with it, first off, you will want to check with your owner's manual, see what your vehicle's capable of pulling. And then second off, you'll want to add four-pole wiring. The four-pole wiring is gonna give your four lighting functions, which are going to be your stop and turn signals and your running light signals. That's going to safely transfer from the back of your vehicle to your trailer lights to let others know what your intentions are when you're going down the road. more

Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Subaru Forester- Video
Welcome to etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Hopkins trailer wiring harness here on our 2015 Subaru Forester. The 4-pole trailer wiring connector is gonna help our vehicle provide the necessary lighting functions to keep us safe on the road to our trailer, our left turn, our right turn, our running lights, and our brakes to help us stay DOT compliant. A lot of trailer wiring harnesses out there on the market, you're gonna have to run a separate power wire all the way up to the front of the vehicle to connect to the battery. With the Hopkins wiring harness, we don't have to do that, because there's already a towing prep package port right behind this panel here on the Subaru. With plugging into the factory prep package port on our vehicle, we also have an inline module that's gonna protect our vehicle from any back feed from our trailer's wiring system, so that way if there's a problem on the trailer, it does not affect the lights on our vehicle. more

Now many accessories today, like your cargo carriers or bike racks will have lights built into them, and that way if they're blocking the view of the lights of your vehicle people can still see what you're doing, and that's gonna be accomplished by a 4-pole wiring harness. Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2020 Subaru Crosstrek- Video
Hey everyone. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek and I'm going to walk through how to install the CURT custom fit vehicle wiring harness. The wiring harness is going to provide you with a four-pole connection so that if you're pulling a trailer or something this is going to allow your trailer to receive light from the vehicle. It's going to have a nice dust cap. That'll help protect the connections from any dirt, debris, or anything like that when you're not using it. more

We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness.So many of our Subaru customers use their Foresters to do a little bit of everything, which does include towing, and so you're going to want some wiring to not only keep you safe, but legal as well, and not to mention, a lot of different types of accessories actually have lights on them too, cargo carriers and things like that, and the wiring is also going to power those up. So you're definitely going to want something reliable and that's going to work every time you use it, and that's exactly what this wiring is going to do.Now, when it comes to actually using it, you got a couple of different choices. Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2019 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt custom fit vehicle wiring harness. One of the things that's really cool about this wiring setup is that it's going to live inside of the back of your Subaru whenever you're not using it, but whenever you're ready to use it super easy to do so. Open up your hatch, lift up your floor covering, and take it right out of storage. Then we can drape it over our threshold anywhere where there's a weatherstrip, we'll be fine. Just avoid the latch, close our hatch, and we're ready to hook up to our trailer. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.Today on our 2020 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness. So what I really like about this setup is that your wiring isn't going to be visible or out in the elements whenever you're not using it, but it's not going to be a big hassle whenever you are ready. All you're going to have to do is open up your hatch, open up your storage compartment here, and pull your wiring out.Now, how this is going to work, is you're just going to drape it over your threshold here. Any part of the threshold is fine, with one exception. You want to do your best to avoid the latch because if the wiring gets pinched in there, it could potentially get damaged. But that being said, you'll close your hatch and then you're ready to plug into your trailer or maybe even your light up accessories.With these newer cars, the factory electronics can be really sensitive, so it's important to keep them protected. more

So, what I think is really cool about this set up is whenever you're not using the wiring it's going to be out of sight and out of the weather. This can be really easy whenever you are ready to hook up to your trailer or maybe even a light-up hitch mount accessory.All you're going to have to do is open up your hatch, flip open your floor covering, and take your wiring out of storage. So, the way this is going to work is it's simply just going to drape over your threshold here. You can drape it over anywhere you want or in one spot. more
